Should you watch this movie? The hilarity pours out of this movie, so you do not want to miss it!

20130822-084056.jpgAlthough they have two very different personalities, FBI Special agent Sarah Ashburn and Boston Police Officer Sharon pair up to stop a dangerous drug lord. Sarah is a high-skilled, effective, and by-the-book, while Sharon is equally skilled, but foul-mouthed and sort of violent. Both share one characteristic in that they do not work well with others (and other kind of hate working with them), so when the two pair up, things do not as smooth as they should. Lucky for us, because this incompatibility leads to major LOLs!

The characters may not get along well, but there is an undeniable chemistry between the two actresses playing them. Sandra Bullock plays Ashburn and Melissa McCarthy plays Mullins. Comedic sparks fly off the screen when these two are together which is mostof the movie. They deliver great lines and moments when you will laugh so hard you may shoot some popcorn out of your nose (See what I did there? I went for solids rather than liquids, like a Coke, out of your nostril….that’s how funny.

Other supporting characters are ok, but there’s nothing memorable to note about these performances because Bullock and McCarthy were so good (I have even forgiven McCarthy for this) The plot is pretty preductable and follows a fairly standard formula, but it is in now way a deterrent to enjoy the movie. Paul Feig, who also directed Bridesmaids is behind this movie. There’s really not much to say about it other than what I just mentioned. So I’ll end with this: just go watch it and enjoy!
FYI: The Heat is coming again. There are already plans for a sequel. Or maybe a pre-quel? No information has been released at the moment, but for sure they’ll be a follow-up!
